| Have you ever signed on to your computer only to come across an issue such as : "?? An annoying virus "?? A program or new piece of software you couldn't figure out how to install "?? Your computer slowing down significantly
If you have, it's likely that this frustrated you to no end. And don't worry, you're not alone. Although computers are incredibly phenomenal in making our life easier in a lot of ways, they can also be outrageously irritating to almost anyone if they're not working properly.
The good news, though, is that there ARE people you can call for help.
Here are some things you can call a computer repair company for: * Setting up hardware such as a new printer * Configuring an email account * Setting up and updating your iPod or Zune * Speeding up a slow computer * Removing a virus, Spyware, or Trojan * Fixing error messages * Installing antivirus or antispyware * Repairing the registry
As you can see, it doesn't just have to be an error that a computer repair company will help with.
That being said, you do want to make sure you choose the RIGHT company. Here are some things to look out for:
1. Does the company try to fix your issue over the phone, or do they come to you and get it right the first time? Generally, technicians who come to you work out better in the long term. First of all, it can be hard to explain things over the phone "?" especially if you don't know computer jargon. Many people end up feeling frustrated and foolish when they can't understand what an operator is asking them, only further blowing up their frustrations.
However, some companies also offer the option to do either or "?" you can either have someone come to your house, or you can do a live chat online or phone call.
2. What hours does the computer repair company work? Some places only work Monday through Friday to 3 or 4 in the afternoon, making it virtually impossible for anyone who has a day job to get help. A company that works until at least 6 or 7 is usually a good bet for all types of people.
3. Are there extra fees? You want to make sure that the price that's advertised is the bottom line!
4. Are the technicians that come to your house reliable? Trustworthy? Obviously, you want to make sure that you trust someone you're letting into your home.
You also want to make sure that those people come when they say they're going to. Nobody likes waiting around "?" especially when you can't even go on the computer to pass the time!
5. What is customer satisfaction like? Getting reviews or checking out testimonials from other users is essential before choosing a company to go with. Sure, anyone can SAY anything "?" but the real evidence comes from how others view their experience.
6. Is the company BBB accredited? There are lots of small "??one-off"?? technicians who are willing to do work for you "?" but how do you know if you can trust them? What will happen if they end up harming your computer? Is that a risk you want to take?
Although it may look like a lot to consider, you can usually tell these things pretty quickly. You'll likely know with a "??gut feeling"?? which is the right company for you, and I congratulate you in advance for getting rid of all that computer frustration. :)

| Car repairs are inevitable if you drive an older car, or if you driven a car for several years. There are several things to consider when deciding how much it will be to fix:
--What is wrong with the vehicle? --The mechanic you take it to, or if you try to fix it yourself --Labor rates in your area --The year, make and model of the vehicle - luxury imports are more pricey --The availability of parts in your area
Most reputable shops should give you an estimate that lists which parts need to be replaced, the labor charge to replace those parts, any charges for diagnostic time, and any additional charges for miscellaneous items such as shop supplies, hazardous waste disposal fees, etc. Labor is usually the most expensive item on most auto repairs.
The longer it takes a technician to replace a part, the more you are going to pay. Time is money, and most shops charge $60 to $90 or more PER HOUR for labor (note: the technician usually receives less than HALF of the labor charge!).
Why are the hourly labor charges so high? Because auto repair is often hard, dirty, back-breaking work that requires a lot of training, skill and experience, and a lot of expensive tools and equipment.
The average technician has over $10,000 invested in his tools, and the shop where he works may own thousands of dollars of service equipment. Much of the hourly labor rate you pay goes to shop overhead (things like rent, utilities, equipment purchases and maintenance, employee benefits, etc.) and profit (which every business needs to stay in business).
Many shops also have a separate DIAGNOSTIC fee. This covers the time it takes to connect a scan tool to your vehicle and read out any fault codes that may be in the vehicle's computer.
The diagnostic charge typically ranges from $75 to $100 or more. As a rule, aftermarket parts are usually less expensive than OEM parts but the quality may not be the same, so stick with brand name aftermarket parts.
In some instances, the aftermarket parts supplier is also the OEM parts supplier and the parts are virtually the same. As a rule, independent repair shops are generally less expensive than new car dealers.
Independent repair shops and specialty repair shops (those who only work on imports or specialize in alignments, brakes, transmissions, air conditioning, electrical, etc.) tend to be small family-owned and businesses. You're usually on a more personal level with these people, and may even talk face-to-face with the technician who works on your car.
Prices may be more negotiable than at a large new car dealership where pricing is less flexible because of high overhead. If you have some auto repair experience and can learn easily and quickly, you will save lots of money doing it yourself.
The best thing to do is to get a diagnostic to find out what the actual problem is and then determine if you can fix it yourself.columbus auto insurance atlanta auto insurance car free insurance online quote Jack R. | Over 80% of personal injury claims arising from car accidents are for whiplash injuries, according to the insurance industry. This equates to 250,000 whiplash injury claims per year.
A whiplash injury can seriously affect your quality of life. Whiplash arises so frequently following car accidents, it is highly advisable to take simple safety measures to prevent it.
Here are some factors which could be putting you at risk of sustaining a whiplash injury, followed by simple measures you can take to guard against whiplash.
Factors which could be putting you in danger of sustaining a whiplash injury include:
1) Not adjusting the head restraint - if more than one person uses a car, the head restraint should be adjusted for each driver, every time it is used
2) Not having a locking head restraint - if the head restraint cannot be locked into position then it may move during an accident, allowing the head to move, too, and increasing the risk of a whiplash injury
3) Being the driver - sitting in the driver's seat entails twice the risk of a whiplash injury as sitting in the passenger seat.
4) Being female - research shows women drivers are three times more likely to suffer a whiplash injury if their car is hit from behind. This is because women tend to sit higher up, closer to the steering wheel and with a more upright seat back.
Women are far more likely to suffer from whiplash than men if they are involved in a car accident, so should take extra care to ensure the head restraint is in the correct position to prevent an injury. However, any driver or passenger should follow these rules to adjust their head restraint:
1) Adjust the head restraint so that it is as high as the top of your head
2) Move the head restraint as close as possible to the back of your head
The reasons for doing this, according to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) are:
1) It will reduce the risk of whiplash by lowering the distance between the back of the head and head restraint, which will stop the neck from bending backwards.
2) It will reduce the length of time it takes for your head to contact the head restraint, and increase the amount of time your head is supported during the accident
Another way to reduce your risk of sustaining a whiplash injury is to make sure you purchase a vehicle which allows the head restraint to be adjusted, and which allows the head restraint to be locked securely into place. This is particularly true if you are buying a second-hand car.
Buying a car which safeguards against whiplash
Before you buy a car, sit inside it and make sure you can adjust the head restraint to the ideal level. The best position is when the top of the head restraint is level with the top of the head, and there is either very little or no space between the head restraint and the back of the head. These two factors will restrict movement of the head in a crash and this will help to prevent whiplash injuries.columbus auto insurance columbus car insurance ohio auto insurance quotes National Accident Helpline specialize in whiplash claims. | Four people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a drunk driving accident early Saturday morning in Glendale.
The motorist is a 19-year-old driver, and all passengers are under the age of 18. According to the Glendale News Press, the driver was headed north on San Fernando Road when the Ford F-150 pickup truck crashed into the island in the intersection. The truck then skipped across lanes, and crashed into a pole. There was serious damage to the pickup, and the engine had been pushed into the backseat of the truck.
The driver as well as the passengers suffered injuries ranging from head trauma injuries to hip injuries. The driver is currently being kept under observation. According to police, none of the teens are from the Glendale area. There is some evidence to indicate that the teenagers had attended a rave party and were on their way back at the time of the crash which occurred at 1:30 am.
Toxicology reports have been conducted, but the results are not available yet. There are indications however, that alcohol and drug use was involved in the accident.
Detectives are likely to look into who provided the underage motorist with alcohol and drugs. Underage drinking is a serious problem across the country, and a factor in thousands of drunk driving accidents every year. While rates for drunk driving accidents across the country have decreased, rates for intoxicated teen motorists have not shown significant improvement. This is in spite of the efforts of law enforcement agencies, high schools and college authorities, as well as the larger community.
In California, the legal limit for alcohol consumption is 21 years of age. Many other states also follow the 21 minimum age rule. Although it's illegal to sell alcohol to a person who is below 21 and a minor, California car accident lawyers frequently come across accident cases where an accident was caused by an intoxicated teen motorist. Existing laws relating to the sale of alcohol must be strengthened to make it harder for persons of this age to obtain alcohol. For a driver below the age of 21, having any amount of alcohol in their system is a punishable offense.
Last year, a group of college deans called for a discussion of the minimum age of 21. The deans didn't outright call for a lowering of minimum age from 21 to 18, but they did suggest that the existing rules have not helped to deal with the problem of drunk driving. The logic was that a lowering of minimum age for drinking can actually curb the kind of binge drinking that is often seen on college campuses.
That proposal had been strongly opposed by safety advocates, parents and California drunk driving accident lawyers. There is little to indicate that lowering the minimum age will do anything, but worsen an already serious problem.
Dealing with under age drinking is a community problem as much as it is a safety issue. Parents have a role to play, and lawmakers must also reconsider their approach to this issue.columbus auto insurance atlanta auto insurance nashville auto insurance The Reeves Law Group is a law firm with offices throughout California dedicated exclusively to the representation of personal injury victims Please visit our website at trlglaw.com.
